Samsung On-the-Go Eating Experience
The number of people packing their lunch is increasing in efforts to be healthier and more cost efficient. In this product design project, we were challenged to create a new solution to packing meals on-the-go. This solution aligns with the brand Samsung, who currently sells a variety of kitchen appliances.
Research + Problem
In order to learn about how people pack food, I conducted qualitative interviews and task analysis.
This design is a slim bag that unfolds into an eating area. It stores food on one plane, and fits well into a backpack. It is intended for busy students who eat lunch at their desk.
I experimented with different materials to achieve the appropriate folding behavior. I also designed and 3D printed a fork and spoon that lives inside the bag.
